Meet Abby

Hi! My name is Abby Hudson. Welcome to my portfolio website. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Furnishings and Interiors in May 2020. Furnishings and Interiors is an interior design program that specialized in Kitchen and Bath and is the only college program in Georgia accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Here you will see some projects I have worked on.

I have skills in hand drafting, AutoCad, SketchUp, photoshop, Revit. I also have sales and Quick Books experience. My favorite skill is SketchUp, as I'm sure you can tell from looking at my work. It is just so fun to bring my drawings to life.

I previously interned at Black Sheep Interiors in the summer of 2018 and Anderson Design Studio in the summer of 2019. During my senior year of college, I worked as a retail sales associate at Athens Interiors Market. Most recently, I have been working on renovating my family's beach house.

I currently work in the furniture industry at a To-The-Trade showroom offering American-made upholstery, lighting, one-of-a-kind furniture, rugs, accessories, and artwork.

My three years with interior design firms and furniture sales have given me broad and varied experiences. I have been able to gain hands on knowledge in residential and commercial environments. My career has taught me more about the business side of Interior Design, how furniture is made, and fabric application. Multi-tasking and being detail oriented are some of my strong suits. I hope to use my experience to further enhance client interaction, solve challenges and create solutions that make clients love their spaces.
